DragonStorm BBQ Day! YAY!
YAY!!! The first DragonStorm Cookout is happenning Friday! I've got 3 racks of Beef Ribs rubbed in Ernies Beef Rub, ShadowCatt-X has 1 rack rubbed in her own special (and unreproducable because she doesn't remember what went into it) blend. Then we also have two Peppercorn Pork Loins. Tomorrow morning at 8am I will be firing up the smoker and by around 2pm we will have Smoked Ribs ready! ShadowCatt-X has also just finished making a nice bowl of Potato Salad, which is in the fridge.

Tomorrow, DragonStorm players will begin arriving, bringing with them other noshies for us to eat! There will be hamburgers and hotdogs and chips and all SORTS of wonderfull things! I'll be running our DragonStorm game, with the possability of a second game run by ShadowCatt-X afterwards!

Oh, I SO wish I were out there with you all! That sounds like great fun! And some very good eats too! Hope it went well!

Could Vargr ask a favor? I lost some stuff when the hard drive crashed, and the ingredients to the rub were one of the files. If you have the recipe for those still sitting about, could you send this wuff a copy? Thanks. That rib version was quite nice.

I'm making a smoked brisket here today. Marinaded it for about 30 hours and then rubbed with a light layer of "Canadian Steak", a thick layer of some leftover pork rub, some Cajon seasoning for a bit of "spark". Hopefully it turns out well. Will be smoking with Mesquite and Jack Daniels whiskey barrels.

Is this a 'shotgun smokeout'? You're giving it both barrels? ^_^
